About the Founder

Engineering discipline, applied to everyday IT.

Fazio Technology, Systems & Automation was founded by James Fazio on a simple premise: the same engineering rigor that runs enterprise systems should be available to households and growing companies.

Education

James graduated from LSU with a Bachelor's in Computer Science, concentrating in Software Engineering. Capstone and coursework projects gave him hands-on experience across the stack:

  • A machine learning model that scanned batches of MRI/CT images and predicted COVID-related lung involvement — applied ML and image-based data pipelines.
  • A multi-tier web application with the web server and application server split into separate tiers — the kind of scalable architecture business clients' internal tools depend on.
  • Memri, an independent project: a study-scheduling app that used an algorithm to tell students when to study based on upcoming exam dates — early proof of the same "automate the repetitive decision" thinking now applied to business workflow automation.

Agile in Practice at Marriott

James studied Agile methodologies — primarily Scrum, with some Waterfall — and put that training to work restructuring Marriott IT's daily operations around Scrum, resolving recurring bottlenecks that had seemed out of reach. He also designed automated workflows still in active use across multiple Marriott properties in New Orleans today.

What That Means for You

Whether the job is a home network or a five-year technology plan, the approach is the same one taught in engineering programs and proven in hotel IT operations: assess before acting, build for the long term, document what was done, and automate what repeats. No guesswork, no jargon walls, no work left half-explained.
